for erich

this post is for my bro Erich who's been missing the craziness of home life since he's moved away.

its over 5 months now since I've seen him. (sob)

I actually took these last Thursday, which I can't believe I actually did considering all I had going on that day. I feel like I spent 90% of the day running around like a chicken with its head cut off, except my head was still on.

welcome to our world.

the many faces of rein.
his eyebrows say it all.

gasp.

Burg
trying to get new headshots of your siblings can be.....entertaining shall we say?
pork-steak-Jimi.

so there you go, hope you enjoyed the "normal"ness of our family. :P
take time to capture life,
you can't always compose every shot perfectly, get your aperture exactly right, or maybe ever get a family picture where everyone is looking at the camera.
but 20 years from now, who's going to care?
you'll be glad you documented it.
the spaghetti face, wrestling on the floor, the non-perfect kitchen, the legos which double as decor for every room in your house, the pen/pencil jar that doesn't always have a pen (or sharpened pencil) in it, the shoe that magically goes missing right when you're about to leave, or telling a made-up cowboy story for the millioneth time to jimi and rein.

live as if each day was your last.

tick tock goes the day and just like that it's gone
and you never get it back so
think about the ones you love and you just might,
look them in the eye and even say so.

miss you Erich.

  1. I ♥ this post! My favorite post, so far! Definitely how I've been feeling lately.

I love what you said about taking a photo, just for the memory, seriously WHO cares if it isn't perfect! It will be perfect to you no matter if the exposure is off!

Okay, your zebra camera strap looks a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I just feel a little left out since this was THE first time I saw it!
