Amanda : library shoot | iowa city, ia senior & portrait photographer

"The only difference between where you are today, and where you'll be a year from today,
are the books you read and the people you meet."
// Charlie Jones

One of my goals for 2013 is to read more books and less blogs,
so this post fits well with that theme. :)
Many of you have already seen Amanda's senior pictures here,
but along with those she wanted to do a library shoot, which I knew would be fun.
She used to volunteer at this library, and has always been a big reader--
seeing her carrying a book into piano lessons is my first memory of Amanda.
I always enjoy photographing something a little different, and really love how these turned out!
she does the librarian look well, yes? :)

I've used this bridge once before with this senior, and she wanted some shots with it,
so we drove over there quick and took a few at the end--love blue + yellow together!

  4. These are fabulous pictures, Hannah!

Btw, did Amanda help volunteer at the Radiant Purity Conference in Cedar Rapids (sometime in early August)?
I think I recognize her, but I'm not sure. :)

Take care, and hope you have a lovely day!

  6. Fun! Were there any people in the library when you were shooting? I love the ones where she's posing by the globe. I think the coloring is perfect.

Also, reading more books and less blogs is one of my goals too! I just wrote my goals in my journal yesterday. :))

    Blessings, friend!

    1. Madi, that library we shot at is pretty small so the only person that was there was pretty much the librarian haha!

    2. Oh ok! I was thinking it would either be distracting for the people in the library or kinda awkward to pose when people are searching for books haha. :D I wonder if the librarian wanted to get in on the fun. Haha
