Natalie : winter portraits

 photo cover.jpg
I guess I have a thing for winter shoots with little girls. :)

There is just something about doing a creative shoot just for you--the artist--and taking pictures in the snow with a girl.
It is so refreshing to shoot in a season when you normally wouldn't due to the frigid weather.

I've always thought Natalie would be a fun girl to photograph, because lets be real--her hair is gorgeous and she's adorable.
Thankfully I was able to do these photos with her before she cuts it off for Locks of Love soon.
Yes--she's donating her hair! How awesome at such a young age.
This will be the second time she has donated it, and when I asked her how she felt about that she said "excited."

When we shot these it was overcast, cold, and windy.
Thus our method was to run outside for about 10 minutes and shoot,
then tromp back into the house, warm up, and change accessories--ha!
She was such a trooper and so into it...we discussed Frozen, some favorite parts in the movie,
and if we would rather have just a palace or an ice palace. (she preferred the latter)
What an awesome first shoot of 2014.

"Though she be but little, she is fierce."
-William Shakespeare

  3. These are awesome, Hannah! My favorite is the 8th photo down (not counting the first photo with the text). Talk about penetrating eyes! :) She reminds my of Lucy Pevensie from The Chronicles of Narnia, especially with the fur. :)

  12. Seriously gorgeous + artistic frames, Hannah. And her HAIR. Talk about stunning. I could easily be wrong, but am I recognizing that gray fur shawl/coat as one of your score thrifty finds? ;) Have a blessed day, friend! <3
