Guest Blogger : Rachel || Caramel Crumb Peaches!

I am thrilled to be featuring Rachel on my blog today and have her share a delicious recipe!

I'm sure many of you are familiar with the company Garlands of Grace
and Rachel is the photographer behind that, as well as Gracious MaySnugars + Bushka.
Not only does she keep up with all of that, but has a personal blog and cooking blog as well--

Awhile back I found their products through Etsy, and my parents bought me a few of their headbands for Christmas one year.
Just last fall I started following her on instagram,
and then out of the blue one day she sent me a headband as a surprise gift!
Talk about a fun mail day...I was totally blessed and then started writing/e-mailing her.

She has such a beautiful heart for the Lord, and I have loved getting to know her
and her family better over the last year or so.
Plans are that someday we will meet in person, and it will be amazing...I just know it.
Seriously can't wait for that day!

Enough said, let me introduce Rachel, her recipe, and incredible food photography!

Hello everyone!
So excited to be able to share one of my favorite recipes with y'all. :)
My name is Rachel Leake, I am a 24 year old photographer, baker, and blogger, but most importantly I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a sinner saved by the grace of God!
I am blessed to currently reside in the quiet countryside of Texas with 10 siblings and my parents.
When I'm not working, my favorite place to be is in the kitchen with my apron on and camera ready,
and that is where you can usually find me! :)
God is good and I am abundantly blessed.
Caramel Pecan Crumb Peaches a la mode
I created this recipe after going over it in my head about it for literally 10 months!
Not-so-patiently waiting for peach season to begin and our local orchard to open it's doors, offering it's perfectly ripened peaches that melt in your mouth, just so I could finally and jubilantly attempt to create the dessert that I had been thinking about for so long.
The recipe I had been dreaming up?
A fresh peach halved, then drizzled with a delicious and butter caramel, covered with a decadent pecan maple-sweetened crumb topping, backed until soft and golden to perfection, and then {while still warm} topped off with a large dollop of bluebell ice cream and {extremely generous} caramel drizzle!
Yes, it was just as delicious as I hoped it would be! :)
*Yields 2 delightfully decadent servings!
Ingredients:
1 fresh and perfectly ripened peach
Caramel Sauce
2 1/2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp pure maple syrup
1/4 cup pecans {chopped}
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash salt
vanilla ice cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees!
Place flour, maple, cinnamon, and salt in bowl.
Cut in 2 tbsp butter and then stir in nuts! Place in freezer for 10 minutes.
Generously butter a glass baking dish.
Half and pit the peach!
Drizzle with around 1 tbsp caramel sauce per half.
Top both halves with crumb topping and bake for 25 minutes or until crumb is golden and peach soft!
You will be able to tell by the smell! ;)
Allow to cool for 5 minutes then put on a plate.
Top with vanilla ice cream and a generous amount of caramel!
Enjoy! :)
