globetrotting, gram-ing, and greminiscing : personal

I'm typing this in the lovely state of Indiana, where I've been for the last few days visiting some friends.

I've so enjoyed traveling this year to different places...and I was so glad it worked out for me to come visit my Indy friends here in September...

(which I can't believe that this month is almost over...seriously, who has been pushing the fast forward button?!)

I just got instagram...so here are some snippets from my life over the last few days...

I came up with that term because I needed something that started with a 'g' to go with globetrotting and gram-ing...so technically I'm reminiscing but greminiscing is the new Hannah term. :) one year ago today I was doing my first ever legit shoot. I had done some shoots before with friends or little kids but this was a 'real' one where I was actually getting paid for taking the pictures, which was kinda a big deal. I remember getting all my gear together and wearing my jotote and walking through my house out the door... and thinking "wow I feel legit." I'm so thankful for all the awesome clients I had last fall who believed in me when I was just starting and didn't exactly know what I was doing [and I'm still not always sure that I do!] :P I went out armed with my little canon rebel camera and lenses, and my paper with scribbled ideas and a paper with pictures I had found online for inspiration, and did my first "legit" shoot. and it was fun. and once it was done I sat in my car and looked through the images on my camera. and then I went home. and one year later I feel so incredibly blessed by all the beautiful people that have let me capture them on my camera. some of you may have noticed the date on my new postmark logo on my header--Sept. 24th, which I picked because that was my first ever real/legit/official shoot. left: picture from my first ever real shoot a year ago today--Liz right: shot last night--Kate--senior 2013 [can't wait to share more!] this adorable-ness also modeled for me last night--Valerie. more to come of her as well. ;)
